At present each eco-cottage lot is leased. The lots will eventually be sold as vacant land condominium lots. These lots will each have an individual title the purchaser owns and can stay in the owner’s family’s control for generations if desired. The title can be also re-sold at any time, under the terms of the condominium agreement.
Following our adaptive reuse principle, Eco-Cottages can be created by renovating or replacing existing park model trailers. Leaseholders can use existing park models as is while they plan their eco-cottage and participate in the creative process of shaping the resort overall. The condominium offering will become available as soon as 40% of the existing Lease-holders agree to proceed. While the conversion process is expected to take only a few years. Leaseholders have the certainty of lengthy period of time to continue leasing, usually up to 15 years. Leaseholders will receive a 15% discount on the purchase of the leased lot. The discount on purchase provides an incentive for them to assist us with this conversion.
